About

A small studio that ships real software.

Denali WorkStack builds software for small businesses from Fairbanks, Alaska, for clients anywhere. Small on purpose: the person you explain the problem to is the person who builds the fix.

The short version

[ABOUT: the founder’s story, in their own words: how they started building software, and why workflow problems]

[ABOUT: what working with them is like, and what they won’t do]

What you can count on

Small on purpose, straight with you.

  • You talk to the builder

The person you explain the problem to is the person who writes the code. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a developer.

  • We’ll say when not to build

Sometimes the answer is an off-the-shelf tool, a setting you didn’t know about, or a better spreadsheet. If it is, you’ll hear it from us first.

  • Prices before work

Each stage has a fixed price, agreed before it starts. No hourly meter quietly running in the background.

  • Plain words

Plans, updates and documentation written for the people who use the software, not for other programmers.

  • Boring tools, on purpose

Well-supported, widely used technology, so whoever looks after it next, us or someone else, can find help.

  • Built to be handed over

Code, access and documentation that let you move on without us. We’d rather be kept because we’re useful.

Built in Fairbanks, for anywhere.

We work from Fairbanks, Alaska, and almost everything happens remotely: calls, shared screens and a demo every week. If you’re nearby, we’ll gladly come and watch the work happen in person. If you’re not, you won’t notice the distance, apart from the occasional mention of the weather.

Next step

What’s the job you’d like to stop doing by hand?

Describe the problem in a few sentences. Within one working day you’ll hear whether software would fix it, roughly what it would take, and what we’d look at first.
